Compotech, a spin-off from the Advanced Structures & Composites Center (ASCC), has been featured in News Center Maine for its rapid growth in business and national attention around the composites industry and business world.

The company took the ballistic protection system called the “Expeditionary Shelter Protection System” created by the ASCC, and turned it into a profitable business in the defense industry. One third of the company’s employees are engineers who graduated from the University of Maine. Compotech was featured in Inc. Magazine earlier this year for being in the top 1,000 fastest growing companies in the United States.
