The University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center (ASCC) receives tens of millions of dollars in research grants and contracts each year, much of which has federal requirements for outreach and solicitation to small and diverse business enterprises. In addition to these requirements, the University of Maine System Strategic Procurement office has increased their outreach to potential suppliers.
At the ASCC, we believe ‘none of us is as smart as all of us’ and we want to hear from more businesses and suppliers to diversify our business partnerships.
This Industry Day will include:
– A detailed conversation centered around a UM ASCC initiative: the implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques for 3D printing housing and marine vessels.
– An informative session led by a technical expert from UM ASCC, offering insights into the ongoing and future projects within the ASCC.
– An overview of the specific goods and services required by ASCC for its upcoming projects, emphasizing the types of offerings sought from vendors.
A chance for vendors to express their capability in providing the ASCC with the necessary goods and services, allowing them to self-identify as potential suppliers.
