UMaine’s VolturnUS technology highlighted in Recharge News

A recent article in Recharge News highlighted the recent developments for the New England Aqua Ventus (NEAV) floating wind project in the Gulf of Maine. The article notes the use of the University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center’s patented VolturnUS technology. NEAV is moving ahead with a federal draft environmental assessment (EA) for a research lease. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) published the EA on July 21st allowing for a 30-day comment period in the Federal Register.
