Chen awarded the 2023 FPS Award
Cong Chen, a recent doctoral recipient at the University of Maine, has been honored with the 2023 FPS Award. The Forest Products Society (FPS), an organization that recognizes trailblazers in the forestry sector, bestows the FPS Wood Award upon individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in the field and make significant contributions to the realm of engineering. The award ceremony took place at the FPS annual conference, held from June 6th to 8th in Morgantown, West Virginia. At the event, Cong Chen was presented with the FPS Wood Award, a testament to their remarkable achievements.
Chen recently attained their Ph.D. in forest resources, specializing in sustainable materials development, under the guidance of advisor Douglas Gardner. Congratulations to Cong Chen on this outstanding accomplishment!
