ASCC faculty member Dr. Damian Brady promoted to professor

Orono, Maine – ASCC-affiliated faculty member Dr. Damian Brady was recently promoted to professor, one of 31 UMaine faculty to receive promotion or tenure this spring. 

Brady is the Agatha B. Darling Associate Professor of Oceanography in the School of Marine Sciences at the Darling Marine Center. His research centers on water quality, ecosystem function, and linking oceanographic and environmental information with decision-making. Brady has worked to create tools and models that help coastal communities make decisions around fisheries, aquaculture, energy, and other coastal use. He is the environmental monitoring lead for UMaine’s offshore wind energy projects and the assistant director of Maine Sea Grant for research.
