Your dividends have arrived
Just when you may have thought the economy, as expressed through the stock market, would never again make sense, your investing skill and patience have paid off handsomely. Congratulations.
In 1996, all of us as a state invested $1 million in a startup company that had no staff, no building and no capital. That money was used to match a $3 million National Science Foundation grant that four University of Maine professors won to start a lab for testing composite wood products. The professors -Habib Dagher, Stephen Shaler, Barry Goodell and Eric Landis – wanted to find a way to use Maine’s logs more productively than just shipping them overseas, but they were beginning essentially from scratch.
