Abstract:

Innovative technologies for Maine’s forest products industry were discussed. The Davis standard wood truder was used to manufacture a variety of construction and consumer products. The abrasive waterjet machining center was used for precision cutting of composite test samples. It was expected to cut virtually any material and its cold cutting technology made it adaptable to laminates and composites.
